Chairman Brian will be
representing REMaRAG at the RI Assembly in
San Diego in January 2012 and looks forward
to welcoming incoming District Governors.

CONGRATULATIONS ------ arise SIR’s
The Family of Rotary involved with Malaria
elimination throughout the world are
delighted to read of two Knighthood awards
in the 2012 Queen’s New Year Honours list.
Brian Greenwood Professor of Clinical
Tropical Medicine at the London School of
Hygiene and Tropical Medicine for his
services to Malaria research in Africa and
Andrew Witty, Chief Executive of drugs giant
GlaxoSmithKline for services to the Economy
and to the UK Pharmaceutical Industry. GSK
constantly involved researching for a
Malaria vaccine.
We thank them both for their continued
efforts to bring to an end the devastating
death rate of 3,000 daily in Sub Saharan
Africa through contracting Malaria.
Thank you for
visiting the REMaRAG stand at the New Orleans Convention.
A big thank you to
the volunteers who manned the stand and learnt first hand of
the excellent work being undertaken.
A great deal of
interest continues to be shown against this debilitating
illness and again your continued support is so essential in everything
we do. We enrolled new members to our action group but
still need more please co opt your friends, colleagues and
anyone who wishes to show their support in stopping 3000
needless deaths every day .
